This is the image (the sign, not the bear) that started my interest in hiking in general and specifically hiking the AT. This is at the intersection of the AT and Interstate 90 - The Mass Turnpike. I have driven under this sign on the east-bound and west-bound side at least 300 times over the last 20 years. Every time I envision myself standing on top of the overpass looking down on the cars whizzing by. Someday soon that vision will become reality. |
