Adirondack Mountain Club
The Adirondack Mountain Club is dedicated to the protection and responsible recreational use of the New York State Forest Preserve, parks and other wild lands and waters. When you join ADK you will be asked on the membership application to select a chapter or join ADK as a member-at-large. This will be your home chapter and your opportunity to get involved with local issues and outings.

Genesee Valley Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club, Rochester, New York. This is one of the local chapters of the ADK and happens to be the one that I belong to as we live in the Rochester, NY area.

Adirondack Forty-Sixers Club
The membership of the Adirondack Forty-Sixers Inc. consists of hikers who have climbed to the summits of the 46 major peaks of the Adirondacks. The club is dedicated to environmental protection, to education for proper usage of wilderness areas and to participation in work projects in cooperation with the NY State Department of Environmental Conservation to meet these objectives.
